Why We Collect It & Our Lawful Basis

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes — legitimate interest / pre-contract steps

  • To deliver a booked service and process payment — performance of a contract

  • To assess whether a treatment is suitable for you — explicit consent, since this may involve health information

  • To send you marketing updates, only if you've opted in — consent.

Health Information

If you tell us about a health condition, injury or pregnancy so we can check whether a treatment is suitable for you, this counts as special category data under UK GDPR. We only use it to decide whether a treatment is appropriate, we don't share it beyond the therapist delivering your session, and we don't keep it any longer than necessary for that purpose.

Photos & Marketing

We may take photos during a session or event to use on our website or social media for marketing purposes. We'll always ask first, and you're free to decline without affecting your booking.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your data securely electronically for the period of 8 years from the last booking, unless specifically requested by you to delete the appropriate data. All electronic devices are securely password protected and only accessible by the director of the company.

If Our Business Changes

If Summit Sereniti is ever sold, restructured or merged with another business, your personal data may be transferred as part of that process — but

only in a way that keeps it protected under UK GDPR.

Data Breaches

If a data breach occurs that's likely to affect your rights, we'll notify the Information Commissioner's Office and, where required, tell you directly, within the timeframes UK GDPR sets out.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how your data is used

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Have inaccurate data corrected

  • Request deletion of your data, in certain circumstances

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
